If you are making a day trip, you should plan at least 3 hours for sightseeing. In principle, it is worth planning your visit to Split with an overnight stay. Then you will also have time to visit the Klis Fortress or the archaeological site of Salona (Solin).

The car journey back and forth is quite relaxed if you choose to take the Trpanj-Ploče ferry.
